Scenic Carpentry & Fabrication Skills
-Extensive hands-on experience in scenic carpentry, fabrication, construction, and installation.
-Proficient with the miter saw, table saw, pneumatic tools, and a full range of power and hand tools, including circular saws, band saws, reciprocating saws, drills, and more.
-Competent with shop equipment including bench grinders, band saws, drill presses, and related fabrication tools.
-Experience with foam carving and sculptural fabrication using grinders, hot-wire tools, and carving knives.
-Knowledge and experience constructing flats, platforms, stairs, and irregular scenic units.
-Experienced in building, assembling, modifying, and installing scenic elements with attention to structural integrity and visual finish.
Scenic Painting Skills
-Extensive experience with scenic painting and faux-finishing techniques, including wood grain, marble, distressing, aging, antiquing, and stone blending/blending effects.
-Strong understanding of color theory, color matching, and paint mixing.
-Experienced in surface preparation, priming, texturing, and achieving a variety of scenic finishes.
Property Fabrication Skills
-Experience fabricating and finishing scenic properties and specialty pieces for theatrical and immersive environments.
-Comfortable working from reference imagery, drawings, and design specifications to create detailed physical elements.
Lighting
-Experience with lighting electrics, circuiting, and focusing.
-Familiarity with ETC lighting systems and console operation.
-Troubleshooting and basic repair experience for lighting equipment and electrical systems.

Scenic Carpentry
Contributed to the carpentry and construction of stage environments, including scenic walls, window framing, and architectural elements. Built custom scenic pieces on an as-needed basis, including cabinets, bookcases, glass display cases, and restaurant booths. Adapted quickly to changing production needs while maintaining structural integrity, functionality, and visual quality.

Production & Scenic Experience
Contributed to the carpentry, construction, installation, and breakdown of large-scale scenic environments, including an XR stage, apocalyptic architectural columns, and a railway set. Executed scenic painting and aging techniques to create realistic finishes including rust, weathered and peeling paint, dirt, metal, wood, concrete, and stone textures. Participated in repeated installation and strike processes, adapting to changing production needs while maintaining attention to detail, durability, and visual consistency.

Scenic Carpentry, Scenic Painting
Built platforms, flats, elevations, and supporting scenic structures as part of a full theatrical set. Applied a range of scenic painting techniques, including stamping, wood graining, and metallic finishes, to create dimensional and visually cohesive surfaces. Assisted with the complete installation of the set within a local theater, followed by the safe and efficient breakdown of the scenic environment.

Scenic Carpentry, Scenic Painting & Installation
Constructed platforms, flats, elevations, and additional scenic elements for a full theatrical environment. Gained hands-on experience with large-scale foam carving and sculptural fabrication. Executed scenic painting techniques including wood graining, aging, and realistic weathering of various materials. Assisted with the complete installation and breakdown of the finished set within a local theater.
Prop Fabrication & Production Design
Designed and fabricated 15–20 props as part of a Production Design course, developing practical skills in prop construction, problem-solving, and finishing. Projects included a bowling pin prop incorporating a manual delayed-action mechanism, a fabricated faux canoe, and additional specialty props such as placards and signage. Worked from concept through fabrication and finishing, adapting construction methods to meet the functional and visual requirements of each piece.
